Michael Ward

Swing & Dance Captain

Michael graduated from Liverpool Theatre School in 2007 receiving the ‘Graduate of the Year’ award.

Theatre credits include: Dancer in Cinderella at the Tameside Hippodrome, Manchester and Tootles in Peter Pan, Grove Theatre, Dunstable.

Michael then directed and choreographed two separate shows, Tomb to Womb, and Mr Vinegar for 2BAAP Theatre Company at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Gad/Dance Captain/Assistant to the choreographer on the UK National tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat; James/Dance Captain, UK National tour of Jesus Christ Superstar; James/Dance Captain/ 1st cover Jesus/2nd cover Judas, Germany tour of Jesus Christ Superstar; Ensemble/Dance Captain/Resident Director, UK National tour of Ghost the Musical; Assistant choreographer of Ghost the Musical, MDM Theatre, Moscow; Priest/Officer, and Director of children and supernumeraries on the national/International tour of Evita. Michael then re-joined the International & National tour of Ghost the Musical where he reprised the same roles. Associate Choreographer and Director of Ghost the Musical, Theatre Mogador, Paris.

TV and Film credits include: Jamie, Boys don’t cry (Short film, Cannes film festival). Linden Hudson and Breaking the band: ZZ Top (ITV studios).

Michael is thrilled to be joining the Company of Sister Act, and can’t wait to entertain again after such a long and difficult time for everyone. He would also like to thank his fiancée, close friends and family for their continued support.
